Chaga (Inonotus Obliquus) is a unique fungus which grows on several types of trees, mostly Birch species, in Northern latitudes of Europe, Asia, and North America.
In the regions where it is found, Chaga has been used for hundreds of years as a natural medicine. Only in recent years has it been studied extensively for its unique medicinal properties. Research has found that Chaga has one of highest antioxidant levels of any food.
Chaga extracts nutrients from its host tree and converts them into a form which can be easily digested by humans. Beta-glucans may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and a strong immune system. Melanin may promote healthy skin, hair and eyes. Betulinic acid is an anti-inflammatory, anti viral, anti bacterial. Superoxide Dismutase may promote the breakdown of free radicals.
Our Chaga extract is the most potent available anywhere. Freshly ground Chaga is sent directly from our foragers in North Central Alaska to a GMP certified facility in Oregon to be naturally processed. Our foragers are native to the areas in which the Chaga is harvested, and they work carefully to protect the Birch trees and mitigate any environmental impact of harvesting.
The ground Chaga undergoes a dual extraction process. For the first extraction, the grounds are soaked in organic cane alcohol for 30 days. For the second extraction, fresh grounds are simmered in hot water for 24 hours. The two resulting solutions are combined to create our Chaga Tincture. This process optimizes the bioavailability of all active compounds in the Chaga and creates a powerful elixir rich in beta-glucans, melanin, betulinic acid, superoxide dismutase.
Finally, we put our Chaga Tincture in the best bottle money could buy. It's made from ultra dark, thick Miron glass and it lets in so little light that it appears black. This keeps the Chaga Tincture incredibly fresh and stable for years.
Chaga Tincture can be taken daily for increased energy, increased immunity, adaptogenic support, and overall well-being. It can be taken alone sublingually (under the tongue), or added to hot water, tea, coffee, or other beverages. Suggested use as a dietary supplement: two droppers, three times a day.
